“Service” refers to the various services provided by The CV Doctor

“Ts & Cs” refers to Terms and Conditions

OVERVIEW

By vising the Site and / or purchasing from The CV Doctor, you engage in our services and agree to be bound by the following Ts & Cs. These terms apply to all users of the Site including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants and/or contributors of content.

The CV Doctor reserves the right, at her sole discretion, to change, update, or replace any part of these Ts & Cs by posting updates and / or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check these pages periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to our Site or the Service following the posting of any changes to these Ts & Cs constitutes acceptance of those changes.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

You consent that personal data (not including credit card information) may be transferred unencrypted and involve transmissions over various networks.

You agree to provide true, accurate and complete information about yourself as prompted by the Site and during the service.

You agree not to copy, reproduce, duplicate, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service or any contact on the Site through which the Service is provided without express written permission.

The CV Doctor reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, at any time.

PRICES

Prices and Services offered are subject to change, may be modified, or discontinued without notice.

SERVICES

The CV Doctor has made every effort to describe the Service as accurately as possible.

INDEMNITY

Should you opt to use the Service, you agree to indemnify and hold The CV Doctor free from any losses, liabilities and expenses (including legal fees) resulting from use of Service and / or advice (written or verbal) by the CV Doctor or website. 

Indemnity extends to any breach of the Ts & Cs or uploading / downloading / reproduction of content / data from the Site or any third-party site or any other online service, or any indirect or consequential loss.

LIABILITY

The CV Doctor shall not be liable for client / customer securing or failing to secure a position, promotion, desired occupation, or career objective. 

LANGUAGE

All documents will be produced in UK English.

YOUR OBLIGATIONS

• To make payment prior to receiving any services from The CV Doctor.
• To provide information requested and fully complete relevant questionnaire(s) as provided by The CV Doctor.
• To provide accurate, truthful information as your document needs to be an honest representation of yourself. Information must not contain false or defamatory material, or that which infringes the copyright, trademark rights and intellectual rights of third parties. 
• To fully verify information is correct when reviewing documentation produced by The CV Doctor.
• To advise The CV Doctor if information is sensitive and not to be included in a document.
• To attend consultations in a timely manner and do your best to stay within your allotted appointment time.
• To provide 24 or more hours’ notice should you need to reschedule an appointment otherwise a fee may be incurred.

WRITING PROCESS AND TURNAROUND

The CV Doctor does not engage the service of any other writers. As such, there may be times when she is unable to meet the demand for her service. Any delays will be communicated to you immediately. 

Once engaged, The CV Doctor will work closely with you – the process is a collaborative one. The more information you provide, the better she will understand you, and the more impressive the final product will be.

To ensure that your documents are prepared in a timely manner and to your satisfaction, please review the following outline of the process:

1. Once your order is placed and payment is received, you will have access to a questionnaire. The questionnaire only needs to be completed if you do not have a CV or your CV is very basic. You need only complete the information not already provided in your CV.
2. You will receive email confirmation from The CV Doctor confirming your order and options for the consultation. The completed questionnaire and any accompanying documents will need to be received 24 hours before the consultation. If they are not received on time, The CV Doctor reserves the right to cancel the consultation and you will be subject to a £50 rescheduling fee.
3. The consultation will be 1.5 hours. Slightly longer may be required if you opt for a LinkedIn rewrite too.
4. Draft copies of your document will be emailed in word format three to five working days after your consultation or in the case of a cover letter, three working days after your order has been placed. Working days are Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
5. Upon receipt of the draft(s), you must thoroughly review the document(s) and provide feedback or suggested changed within five working days. Our preference is that you use tracked changes or insert comments in your document(s). The CV Doctor will continue to revise your document until you have accepted the final draft; all amendments do need to be made 14 days after the first draft has been received (unless otherwise agreed), otherwise revisions will be subject to an additional charge. 
6. Should The CV Doctor not hear from you 14 days after a first draft has been sent, it will be deemed that you are happy and the project will consider to be finalised. If changes are required thereafter, a fee will need to be agreed dependent on amount of work involved.

The CV Doctor strives to ensure that all projects are completely free of errors. However, you are responsible for thoroughly proofreading all final drafts. The CV Doctor cannot be held liable for any losses incurred as result of errors, omissions, false statements or inaccuracies.

Although Express Services are not offered on the website, they will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will incur an additional charge.

The CV Doctor will endeavour to respond to changes within 24-48 hours.

The CV Doctor cannot be held liable for any losses incurred as result of our failure to meet expected turnaround times. She reserves the right to extend turnaround times as needed and will provide notice of such changes via email.

CONSULTATIONS

Zoom consultations form part of the CV and LinkedIn writing process. The CV Doctors preference is to do these between the hours of 9am and 3pm Monday to Friday but will provide an option of an evening and weekend call.

Consultations will be recorded but will be deleted upon completion and sign-off of your document(s).

Should we not be able to agree a mutually beneficial time, a full refund will be issued.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

We recognise that our clients can be affected by circumstances beyond their control. Therefore our cancellation policy balances administration costs, research work and The CV Doctor’s time. Hence, if you cancel your order:

• 72 hours before the consultation: you will receive a full refund. 
• 48 hours before the consultation: 10% will be deducted from the refund. 
• 24 hours before the consultation: 20% will be deducted from the refund. 
• Cancellation after the consultation: 50% deducted from total project price.
• Cancellation after the first draft: non-refundable.

All refunds are in the form of the original payment, less processing fees, and payable within seven days.

The CV Doctor reserves the right to cancel a client’s project at any time and provide a full refund.

PAYMENT

We accept PayPal or Bank Transfer. Should you wish to pay via debit or credit card, select PayPal and checkout as a guest. You can then use a debit or credit card to make payment. Although payment via these methods is fully secure, The CV Doctor does not take responsibility for any misuse of your Credit / Debit Card, Bank Account or other means of payment arising as a result of using this service.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEE

The CV Doctor cannot guarantee that your document will secure you an interview or a job offer, but all documents produced by The CV Doctor are covered by a 100% ‘Satisfaction Guarantee’. We want you to be 100% satisfied with your document and will continue to work on it until you are. 

The Satisfaction Guarantee is subject to the following conditions:

1. You must allow The CV Doctor at least 48 hours to make alterations to your CV.
2. You must provide sufficient information to enable the CV Doctor to complete alterations.
3. You must furnish The CV Doctor with suggested changes 48 hours prior to deadline for submission of a job application for which you intend to use the document(s).

Should your new document(s) not receive the response you would expect, The CV Doctor is very happy to revisit your document free of charge three months after engaging the Service.

ELECTRONIC COPIES

Whilst every attempt is made to safeguard electronic documents against viruses or bugs prior to emailing them to you, it is your responsibility to ensure your PC or tablet is adequately protected.

We cannot be held responsible for computer compatibility issues. All documents are provided MS Word 2010 and CVs will also be provide as a PDF.

TESTIMONIALS

The CV Doctor reserves the right to request a testimonial following the Service provided and with your agreement, may add the testimonial to her website.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Your submission of personal information through the store is governed by our Privacy Policy.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

The CV Doctor is the owner and licensee of all intellectual property rights on the Site and all materials published on it. These works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world, and all such rights are reserved.

You may not use any part of the materials on our Site for commercial purpose without our permission. 

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

Should you find it necessary to make a complaint against aspect any of the Service, please contact The CV Doctor via phone or email. All complaints will be treated seriously and responded to within 48 hours.

LEGALLY BOUND

Should you place an order for any of our services or submit personal information electronically or otherwise, you agree to be bound by our Ts & Cs and privacy policy, and agree that The CV Doctor may, in its sole discretion, disclose information about you in the circumstances and to the extent set out in our privacy policy.

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you services and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

CONSENT TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By accessing and using the Site, you consent to and agree to be bound by the Ts & Cs set forth above.
